Mycetias ‘Vulcanian’
… This exciting new variation has the same stunning 30hz - 20khz frequency response as Mycetias V2’s, using the same components, however, Mycetias Vulcanian’s benefits from an additional wave guide fitted to the 30mm soft dome tweeter. This combination delivers exceptionally low harmonic distortion, increased dispersion control & stability, higher efficiency & tighter more uniform radiation pattern.
The enclosure itself is the same as our V2’s, however visually the wave guide & tight new loading arrangement gives the Vulcanian has a more intimidating look.
The crossover & box design are tuned to complement the drivers, delivering a n
exceptionally well balanced frequency response, with very high efficiency. The result is they dont need much power at all to play full tone 30hz to 20khz . Any good amplifier (such as Mycetias 250A) that provides between 30w - 130w per-side @ 8Ω will make them sing.
The rubber surround and treated paper cone woofers resist fatigue and create a warm, natural sound reminiscent of the golden age of 1970s audio, when performance was the main consideration before price.

HF, single 30mm 100w silk soft dome with high-temperature voice-coil with ferro fluid, exceptionally smooth response & excellent transient performance.
Rear reflex tuned ported enclosure designed for extended low-end response.

Sleek looking enclosure: Available in Natural birch plywood finish or textured tuff & durable paint finish that is scratch resistant. With x4 Rubberised pvc speaker cabinet feet fitted to the bottom of each speaker cabinet.
Heavy duty gold plated binding posts / Rear connection plate, accepts up to 6mm cable or 4mm Banana plugs.
Full face 1.5mm thick steel black powder coated or bare steel finish grill fitted as standard.
